What is extract color palette?

An image color palette generator groups similar visible pixels into representative colors. ShotTide processes the image in your browser, with no account, upload or generation credits. Choose a palette size, copy individual HEX values, or export colors with RGB values and approximate coverage as JSON.

Choose useful colors, not every pixel

A photograph may contain millions of slightly different colors. Clustering reduces them to a practical set. A smaller palette emphasizes broad color relationships; a larger one can capture accents and secondary tones.

Take the palette into your work

Copy a HEX value for a design tool or export CSS custom properties for a website. The JSON export includes RGB triplets and approximate visible-pixel share, making the result easy to inspect or transform.

Keep the source on your device

The extraction runs locally. Transparent pixels are excluded from the sample. Color coverage is an approximation from a reduced preview, not a calibrated color measurement or a print-proofing profile.

Extract Color Palette: questions answered

Is this color palette tool free?

Yes. Extraction and CSS/JSON export use no generation credits and require no sign-in.

Is my image uploaded?

No. This palette tool decodes and samples the image locally in your browser. Other image generation tools upload references only when you submit a generation.

Why does the palette differ from another extractor?

Sampling size, clustering and treatment of transparent pixels affect the colors. The palette is a design aid, not a guaranteed match to every displayed or printed color.

How much does it cost?

Palette extraction and exports are free and run on your device.
