Choose the right starting point

The avatar designer creates still character portraits. Customize mode works from a written direction and structured appearance fields. Face + Style uses two ordered references; Face + Prompt combines one face reference with your instructions.

How to design your AI avatar

  1. 01

    Pick a design method

Choose Customize, Face + Style or Face + Prompt. For reference modes, upload a clear face and, when needed, a separate style image.

  2. 02

    Set the visual details

Describe appearance, pose, outfit and scene. Choose phone or camera photography and one of six aspect ratios. A short additional brief can connect the details.

  3. 03

Save a portrait and keep its settings

Review the generated image. Reuse its design settings for another version or send it to the talking-avatar tool to add reviewed speech.

What to check before you publish

Describe visible details

Use concrete clothing, pose and lighting directions. Avoid asking the model to express a whole biography or several conflicting styles in one image.

Separate identity from style

In Face + Style mode, the face is the first reference and the style is the second. Check resemblance and composition yourself; the model can alter facial details.

Frequently asked questions

Can I design an avatar without a photo?

Yes. Choose Customize and describe the character with appearance fields and a brief. A face reference is optional in this mode.

What is the difference between Face + Style and Face + Prompt?

Face + Style uses a face photo and a separate style reference. Face + Prompt uses one face photo and your written directions.

Will the result preserve my face exactly?

The reference guides the model, but exact identity preservation is not guaranteed. Inspect the face before using a generated portrait publicly.

Does the designer create a talking video?

It creates a still image. Use the talking-avatar handoff for a separate voice-review and video-generation workflow.
